Pomegranate /Gold Brooch
A burst of colour in copper & yarn - this brooch is delicately hand crocheted & hand stitched using a mixed media of double-entwined coloured copper wire, luxury hand-dyed yarn and crystal.
The luxury yarn used for this design is 100% merino singles and hand-dyed by indie dyer Uschitita who is based in the Netherlands in her exclusive 11/18 club colourway, 'Mulled Wine'.
Her rich blend of purple, burgundy, pink, corals and cream feels like a pomegranate that has burst open to reveal it's jewel-like inner fruits.
The inner circle is hand crocheted with double entwined copper wires in shades of pink and gold. The wirework is accented with crystals in amethyst purple to resemble the petals of a flower, with antique-gold glass beads as the stamens.
The outer circle is hand crocheted with hand-dyed yarn and stitched to a golden frame to form a brooch.
The brooch measures 3.5cm in diameter.
These pieces are made with specialist hand-dyed yarn, which may not always be available, so they are made in small quantities, and would therefore be limited in number.
The wire colour may vary slightly depending on the reel batch, and how the yarn colours fall within the piece may vary depending on which part of the yarn I start crocheting with, but any variation will be very slight.
The crystals will be identical to the sample image. However, if you would prefer a different colour crystal, let me know in the comments section on checkout and I can swap them over for you.
This is a made-to-order item, so please allow at least 3 weeks for delivery for UK & Europe, and 6 weeks for USA & Worldwide.
This lovely accessory will come beautifully packaged in a customised silver jewellery box with magnetic closure.
The item will be shipped by Tracked 48 delivery for the UK.
