CYPRESS Earrings - Gulab

Rose-gold plated - Gulab

Delicately hand knitted, crocheted & stitched earrings using rose-gold coloured copper and crystal, finished with luxury rose-gold over sterling silver.

The inspiration for the name of these earrings comes from the cypress tree. In ancient Persia the cypress tree was the most popular tree planted in persian gardens, and features in many of their textiles and artworks . The oldest known living cypress tree in the world is 4,000 years old in Yazd Province, Iran. It is a traditional symbol of the tree of everlasting life.

The crystal colours used are inspired by palatial gardens rich with fragrant roses, or 'Gulab' - the colours include a spectrum of rose colours, burgundy, ruby, rose-peach, vintage rose, interspersed with pale khaki for the stems.

The earrings are hand knitted, crocheted and stitched with rose-gold coloured copper wires. They are then finished with rose-gold filled hooks. The earrings measure 2 cm across it's widest part, and 6 cm from the top of the hook to the bottom of the earring.
